Hello,
Got a data cable on ebay that's supposed to work for this phone, (not usb), but even the latest version of easy studio ll does not properly communicate with this phone. Any ideas?
Genuine Samsung Data Cable Model number PCB093LBE
Phone is T-Mobile Samsung SGH-X495
Any way to figure out if this is the right cable?
Thanks,
Mr Orange

According to information from Samsung, the data kit for X495 is PKT133LBEG/STD and the cable only is PCB133NSEC/STD.

thanks
Thanks for the help,
Can I ask where you found that info for future reference?
Any idea which correct software I will need, and/or any ideas where to get the best deal on the correct cable?
Also, any chance of rewiring, as I can do the soldering if the electronics are a match.
Regards,
Mr Orange

What about USB?
Better yet, what about a USB data cable?
I wonder how I can find out if one will work for this phone. (USB on the computer side that is), since the phone itself does not have usb port.
Thanks again.

I got the cable information for X495 from the following link from Samsung's web site:
http://product.samsung.com/cgi-bin/n...od_id=SGH-X495
As for cable rewiring, I suppose you got the information already from my other post in another thread.
As for usb cable, look for the one that is compatible to the following models:
D488 / E100 / E330 / E700 / E708 / E800 / E808 / E820 / S500-S508 / X100-X108 / X460 / X600-X608 / X640 / E630 / E335
As for the correct software called PC Studio PIMS, check software from the following link from Samsung:
http://www.samsung.com/search/search...dio=1&select=0
