HELP With Data Cable NEED HELP WITH THE SCH-A950

i bought a data cable for my new cell phone the Samsung SCH-A950 and i plugged the usb part into my pc and plug the other cord to my cell phone where the charger goes and it seems that its not respond to my pc. im not sure but i think i need the Driver for the SCH-A950 but i dont think they have it my USB cable won't reconize my cell. I bought the OEM Samsung Data Cable NEED HELP BAD!

Download the driver on samsung's site. They don't have one specifically for the 950 but look around here, there is another model's driver that works fine. Install that, then go get BitPM and then you can grab photos off the phone rather nicely. I have found that putting files to the phone is rather slow, so if you're putting lots of music on the phone and using a memory card, just pop the card into your pc's card reader and put them on that way.

Also need to go to the music page on the phone, then select sync. That's how I got mine to see the phone

you need to get the sync software from samsung first so that the drivers will be installed on your computer so that it will recognize the cell phone as a connected device.

New problem with the a950 and Data cables. I spent the money to buy the Vcast music pack. However, the program will not install on my computer. So I thought I would install BitPim and do it myself. However, it does not recognize my phone even after installing the drivers provided on the Vcast CD. My computer does recognize the phone though. But when i go to bitpim it says "No phone detected/recognized"I would like to use BitPim as I am familiar with that program. Please Help!!!

WHICH DRIVER WORKS???

As i recall (its been several months now) it was a 9-something, maybe 970 i don't know.

Have searched and searched and can not get my cell to be recognized by my pc with the data cable and this is the one I got from Verizon . I have a Samsung a950. Can't move pictures off except by emailing one at a time......very time-consuming and slow. Can't use the phone as much as i would like to cause of it.

Did u use the installation that came with the Vcast kit first?

Not the best idea. those are modified drivers, not factory. ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS download the lastest driver from the company's page

What is the Sync Software?

yup! samsung now charges for the easyGPRS software, so easyStudio will be your best bet
