A very newbie here.

I have an A740. I can adjust the sound level on incoming calls, but for some reason, I can't adjust the text alerts sound level.

I go thru the steps Menu, Settings, Sounds, Ringer Volume, Messages and have it set to maximum, but when one arrives, it comes in at about Level 1.

If I go thru the steps Menu, Messaging, Settings, Message Alerts, Alert Volume and set it to maximum, still the same thing applies. I can change the ring type but not the volume.

Any ideas.

I also have an A640, and on that one I can do it.
