Just now I just sent my ringtones to my phone (through email) after cutting it down to around 300 KB. Now the ringtones are really low, its been cut down to about 30something KB when i receive it. Ive sent myself about 5 ringtones before and they all play clearly and loud enough, but now its so low. Anyone have any ideas?

I also noticed that my files are being changed to QCP when i save my sounds .

Just curious but when I ty to send SMS messages to myself with a short mp3 clip, my a930 saves it as a qcp file which then only plays as a sound not available as a ringtone which sucks. Any help available would be appreciated!

    Peace

See if you have an Amplify feature in your software conversion program, when I convert my file(s) from stereo to mono, I usually also have to amplify the wave a little bit too, sometimes more, depending on what the volume is when I download the file.

When you name the file and save it as an mp3 file, make sure it reads this way : songtitle.mid.mp3 When it shows up on your phone, before you save it to My Sounds, delete the .mid part off of the song title so it reads hmmm say : stairway to heaven rather than stairway to heaven.mid

I've always saved the file in that order, and one of the ringtones that i sent a while back i didn't even put the MID.MP3 because I forgot and it still worked. Now I did the same with two different ring tones and it still automatically converts it to a .QCP file and lowers it to a 38KB.

I wonder if it has to do with the software you're using; what are you using to do the conversions?

I'm using Audacity. It's worked before and I've sent myself 4 ringtones in the past. I'm not sure why its acting weird now.
