    I recently aquired a Samsung D807. I really like the phone but have one question. I notice that when I close the slider the display will evenyully turn off, not blank, off. Is this normal or have I got a defective phone?

    I have the D900 and it does the exact same thing. It's a normal thing.
    In the settings you can change the delay for the turn-off though.
