Need help using bluetooth on Samsung C417

I can not figure out how to use the bluetooth on my c417. I can turn it on butcan not pair with another phone. I have tried everything I know and can not figure out how to use it.

What Bluetooth® Profiles Are Supported On My SGH-c417?

The SGH-c417 handset supports the following Bluetooth® profiles:

Headset Profile (HSP): HSP is the most popular Bluetooth® profile because it connects the phone to a wireless Bluetooth®-enabled headset. When an incoming call is received, a tone can be heard through the headset, instead of the phone. The call can then be received by pushing a button on the Bluetooth® headset. You can increase or decrease the volume by using the volume key on the side of the phone.

Hands-Free Profile (HFP): HFP allows a connection from the phone to a wireless Bluetooth®-enabled car kit. Incoming calls ring to the hands-free headset or device. Calls can be received by pressing a button on the Bluetooth® headset or device. As for dialing, four functions are supported: recent call dial, voice dial, speed dial, and number dial. You can increase or decrease the volume by using the volume key on the side of the phone.
