I Recently Purchased a Samsung T509, and it broke only two months in. Did I get a bad phone, or is every phone of that modle so fragile? The phones appearence was ordinary, it just refused to turn on. I know it was not out of battery, as later that night I left it in its charger for several hours.
Note: I had been outside for an extended period of time, and it was very cold. Could the extreme tempetures have caused my phone to break?

I have heard that extreme cold COULD cause damage to your phone (IE the phone's handbook), but there's no telling exactly what broke your phone unless you have it professionally looked at
