My buddy has one and absolutely loves it. I wish it would come to Sprint. I'd be all over it in a second!

First, to answer your question -- yes, its the best phone I have used in its category. It is GSM, edge data. The LCD is the brightest and has the best resolution. The slider is a personal preference. It is a thin phone, compact, and has large buttons for larger fingers and/or long finger nails. It is user friendly, has lots of features. The sound quality is good, although not loud enough to listen to mp3s on speaker. You can hook it up to your computer and easily upload your saved photos and mp3s. Bluetooth capable, 1.3 megapixel camera/video. The last I researched this phone, it has some of the lowest radio frequency (which is good if you are concerned for your health).

On the "flip" side, if you pay full price, expect the phone to break just after the one-year warranty. And, whatever you do, do not purchase insurance through Asurion. WHAT A RIP OFF. Its 5.00 plus tax a month, and its great unless you need to get a phone. They do not carry the D807. Also, do not purchase a refurb. You will be getting someone else's problems.

If you get the phone at a great rate, my suggestion is to get rid of it through your carrier before the one-year warranty.
