I just got this phone on Sunday so i am trying to learn all the bells and whistles.. my question is can I remove that black banner with the time and date from the display...? I took a picture of my son and with that blasted date and time banner I can't see his face

any help would be lovely!

PS: I'm new so I learned I can't post a picture! darn it but on the wallpaper of my phone on the top there is a blank banner that runs along it with the date and time I can't figure out how to get rid of it
