Re: sch-u940 codes
I was using the phone and it all of a sudden went back to "need initial programming". Verizon said that the ESN isn't in the phone anymore and they cant reactivate it without that in there. When I looked in the phone, the meid is all 0's. I read a ton of threads on how to fix the problem with cdma workshop, but I needed to put the phone into DM first to use the program. I got it into test mode with the directions cdma workshop had, but the way it said to put samsungs into dm didn't work. Obviously, I'm new to this but I really want to get this phone working again.

Re: sch-u940 codes
I got it on ebay......
I read on the directions in the CDMA help file that I had to put the phone into DM mode before trying to use it. The first part of the directions got me to Test mode, but the part to take it on into DM didn't work.
OK, I've tried it now and apparently you can't write the meid with the trial version, only the registered version. I can't afford the $100 to get the full version and the phone cost less than that to begin with. I saw on some threads about trying to repair some files with Bitpim, but I can't get that to read the files either.
