want to give away my samsung

I'm getting a new iPhone 3Gs and I want to give my Samsung impressions to my niece. I have AT&T and her dad uses Verizon. Can she still use the phone? If so what do we have to do to get it to work for her?

Unfortunately your niece will not be able to use the iPhone with Verizon because this carrier requires a CDMA capable phone and I believe the one you have is the GSM since you said you are with AT&T. Also is the iPhone an unlocked version? If it's not then she can only use it with AT&T.

I want to give her my old Samsung Impression phone that I have been using with my AT&T account not an iPhone. I'm getting a new iPhone.
