Viewing the Amount of Free Internal Memory (RAM):

  1. While on the home screen, press the "Menu" button on your device
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Find and tap "Memory Settings"
  4. Tap "Memory Status" > "Shared memory"
  5. View the information regarding your handset's RAM

Tip: To reduce memory use, try removing some widgets from the home screens. Also, remember to restart your device regularly by pressing and holding the Power button.

Formatting the SD Card:

WARNING! Formatting your SD card will result in the loss of all the data (apps, personal files etc) that has been stored on the SD card.

  1. While on the home screen, tap the "Menu" key
  2. Go to "Settings"
  3. Scroll to and press "Memory settings"
  4. Touch "Memory card details"
  5. Tap "Format" and press "Yes" to confirm your action

Setting the Default Memory Storage Location:

By default, data will be stored on the SD card. To change the location, follow the steps below:

  1. Tap the "Menu" button on your device while viewing a home screen
  2. Select "Applications"
  3. Tap "Camera"
  4. Press "Setup"
  5. Access the "Settings" tab
  6. Scroll to and tap the "Storage" drop-down menu
  7. Select either "Phone" or "Memory card" as your default storage location

Viewing the Amount of free Space on the SD Card:

  1. Tap the "Menu" key while viewing a home screen
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Go to "Memory settings"
  4. Tap "Memory card details"
  5. The information is located in the "Available" field

Opening or Deleting Files on your SD card Using Your Smartphone:

  1. While on the home screen, tap the "Menu" key
  2. Tap "My Files"
  3. On the drop-down menu, select "Memory Card"
  4. Navigate to the file that you wish to access
  5. Perform one of the actions below:
    • To open a file: tap the file that you wish to view
    • To delete a file:

      1. Select the desired file
      2. Tap "More"
      3. Locate and tap "Delete"
      4. Press "Yes" to confirm

Opening or Deleting Files Using Your Computer:

  1. Connect your handset to your PC using the USB cable that came with your smartphone
  2. On your computer, click on "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer" in the AutoPlay window
  3. In Windows Explorer, double-click the "Card" folder
  4. Navigate to the folder that contains the desired file(s)
  5. Select the file (open with double-click) or delete it if you so desire
  6. When finished, disconnect your gadget from your PC safely

Transferring Files between Internal Storage and SD Card:

  1. Tap the "Menu" key on your device, while viewing a home screen
  2. Tap "My Files"
  3. Tap the drop-down menu and select "Phone"
  4. Press "Manage" and tap "Copy"
  5. Select the files that you wish to transfer
  6. Tap "Copy" and tap "Memory Card"
  7. Navigate to the desired folder or create a new one if necessary
  8. Tap "Paste Here" in the desired location

Transferring Files Between SD Card and Your Computer:

  1. Connect your smartphone with your PC using the USB cable
  2. On your computer, in the AutoPlay window, click "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer"
  3. In the Windows Explorer window, double click the "Card" folder to access it
  4. Copy / drag / drop the desired files from your computer into the "Card" folder, or the other way around
  5. When finished transferring the files, safely disconnect your smartphone from your PC
