SD cards

I just got a 64Gb micro SD memory card for my Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime cell phone. I installed it. I expected the storage to increase from 8gb to 64gb. Not the case, are there 64Gb micro SD storage cards? if so where? I just found out I installed memory card upside down and corrected it. But when I went to format the card on the cell phone. I found the SD card not highlighted thus I was unable to select it?

Hi, I also bought an SD card for my Samsung Galaxy A7 and my phone doesn't recognize it. I had previously unloked it using an unlock service I found online. Do you think this might be the cause of my problem?
