    Hey all!

I'm thinking about upgradeing my phone to a new one from cingular. Well I've noticed that they have the s66 model. I've read some reviews on gsmarena.com but I've noticed that many people complain about battery life a lot. Has anyone had any problems with that? Can anyone confirm that?

Also, I know that the phone doesn't support mp3, but is it also true for the ringtones? I think I've read somewhere that you can convert mp3's to some format that the phone will recongize. Is that true?

i have the S66 and its wonderful. The battery life is a bit quickly drained but it all depends on what you are using it for. You can turn down the illumination on the screen which saves quite a bit of power and there are a few other little tweaks you can do. About the mp3's. It cant play mp3's but it can play wav format. I have a converter that will convert it into the right type of wav file. You have to convert the mp3 to wav yourself. But it has to be a certain type of wav file. If you want the converter get at me with a pm.

Well, I'm still thinking about this phone. But I am leaning towards a Nokia 6230. I think having mp3's is a nice thing, and a low battery life is a bit of an inconvience. I've also read that a lot of people have problems with the s66, as the phone likes to freeze. Have you had any problems like this?

I've heard that unlocking the S66 causes problems. Has anyone experienced this? Also, I heard the problems were with the earlier versions of the S66. Was there a firmware upgrade or anything?

I absolutly love my SX66 I have not has a battery problem at all. I keep a charger at work and home. I don't use it as an IPOD but for multiple conference calls throughout the day it has been fabulous. The unit has two batteries one primary and a second backup.....Awsome design .....My IPAQ 3565 died all the time and I was constently restoring backups. ....SX66 no problems at all

In addition the unit warns you well into advance when the unit is about to die. I can usually place a few calls and update a task or schedule an event long before it officially goes dead

In addition, the unit work great with the D-Pad and built in keyboard if you lose the stylus. Oh yes the design on the stylus lends itself well to randomly leaving your stylus in inconspicous places.
