a lot of the midis on this site have been working fine... however, a few that i've been downloading won't install. i tried opening them in midi editors and it says they aren't true midi files... however, they play as midi files in realplayer. anyone have any clue how to fix this?? my only guess was that they are kar files but renamed to mid... and that my phone doesn't like that (or the editing programs for that matter). i'm just trying to find a program that will open them and save them as true midi files... please help! thanks

i'm still having problems...
this is what i have figured out so far. when i download a midi, under "type of file" the default is ".htm" obviously, it's not an html file. it still saves as .mid... but it doesn't play. my only other option in that menu when downloading is "all files" which doesn't help me either. i think my computer thinks the midi files, when downloading, are html files so it doesn't download them correctly or something. i've tried downloading them in both firefox and internet explorer and i get the same problem with both. do you guys have any ideas i could try in order to fix this? it's getting to be a real pain that if i ever want ringtones i have to download them at work... lol
thanks!
