Don't you find that costs here are a little expensive for new members? I'm in favor of the way you guys are trying to do things, but I find that it takes a little too much effort to get a single song.
I will admit, when I first came to this site, my only intentions were to get the song, and leave. So after reading the rules, I accepted the fact that I had to become a part of the community. What you should have are a few (or maybe even one) song(s) that we could download to be sure that we're 'paying' for songs that we can actually use. I'm sure there's been a few cases where people have wasted their time to get a song that they can't even use. Just my two cents.

$100CPF I think is fair for 'unlimited' downloads. There are many ways to earn this $ and more will be added soon. From someone that trying to to get just one song, I can see how it can be a pain. However, this problem stems back from MIDIBuddy. Inactive members that simply take up space and use bandwidth is bad from a resource standpoint. If those same people contribute (assuming it's a good contribution, and not junk) at least they're adding to the community.
Before we switched over to vb3 each song was $25. Unfortunately, there's no easy way to tell if the file you're trying to get will be sufficient. When and if this system is put back in, files will probably be less.

You can always donate in the feature store
http://cellphoneforums.net/ushop.php?do=a&aid=19
for every dollar you donate to the forums you will get
$100 CPF$
Thats a great exchange rate
In essence these boards are free, you just have to participate to get the tones - so if you want to be sure of the quality - go to a pay site and pay for your tones!

Top of every page there is a link to the FAQs.... you'll find the rules there
Just remember the magic formula of the net.... clicks=cash.... if you don't click the banner ads don't play... if the banner ads don't play the board's sole supporter gets no support! .... If the sole supporter gets no support the board closes... and THEN where will you find all of your free ringtones and advice in one spot??

We are a cellphone forum...that mean's everything that pertain's to cellphone's, we try and cover and/or help out with. Cellphone ringtones just happens to be one of the many thing's we help with.
I know it may sound wrong to you, but for some reason the 92,000+ member's we currently have seem to think we are doing something right.
Please continue to be a active part of our community; help out where you can, and most of all...enjoy your stay here!

Well said, dragon! I'm one of the 92K who think you're doing something right!
I didn't come here for ringtones so i'm not bothered by those rules. but, if you really ". . . hate to complain . . . " why do so? particularly where, on the internet, you can simply do a search and find pretty much whatever you want -- free ringtones, if that's your fancy.
