Viewing the Amount of Free SD Card Space:
- While on the home screen, tap the "Applications" icon
- Find and tap "Settings"
- Tap "Storage" under "Device"
- The amount of free SD Card storage is shown as the "Available" value under "SD Card"
Formatting the SD Card:
WARNING! Formatting the SD Card will result in deletion of all data stored on the card. If necessary, create a backup before proceeding.
- While on the home screen, tap the "Applications" icon
- Go to "Settings"
- Scroll to "Device" and touch "Storage"
- Tap "Erase SD card" located under "SD card"
- Tap "Erase SD card" again to confirm, and then follow any additional on-screen prompts
Setting the SD Card as the Default Memory Storage for your Camera:
By default, your handset's default storage location is set to the built-in ROM. If you wish to set your SD card the default storage location, then follow the steps below:
- Tap the "Camera" icon located on the home screen
- Tap the "Settings" icon
- Go to "Data storage"
- Select "SD card"
Opening or Deleting Files on the SD Card Using Your Device:
- Tap the "Applications" icon located on the home screen
- Select "File Commander"
- If you are prompted, tap "Register later" to skip this particular step. (Alternatively, you can tap "Register now" and then follow the on-screen prompts)
- Select the desired folder and perform one of the following options:
- To open a file, find and select it
- To Delete files:
- Navigate to the file that you wish to remove
- Tap and hold the file's name
- Select "Delete"
- Press "OK" to confirm
Opening or Deleting Files Using a Computer:
- Connect your smartphone to your PC using the USB cable that came with your handset
- On the "Windows Explorer" window that appears on your computer, double click on "Browse files"
- Navigate to your SD card and open the folder containing the files that you wish to delete
- Right click the files and then click on "Delete"
- Once finished, safely disconnect your smartphone from your PC
Transferring Files Between Your SD Card and Computer:
- Connect your smartphone to your PC with the USB cable
- Double-click on "Browse files" in the Windows Explorer window that appears on your computer's display
- Navigate to the desired folder inside your smartphone's SD card
- Copy the desired files to / from your PC / SD card
- Once you're done copying, click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon located in your PC's system tray
- Click on "Safely Remove Mass Storage Device"
- Click "OK"
- You can now disconnect your smartphone from your PC
Transferring Files Between Internal Storage and SD Card:
- Tap the "Applications" icon located on the home screen
- Press "File Commander"
- Navigate to the files that you wish to transfer
- Mark the checkboxes associated with the folders or files that you wish to transfer
- Touch "Copy"
- Navigate to the location where you wish to move the files
- Tap "Edit" and then tap "Paste"
