Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with access to the Internet, you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account, and then sync the account data including contacts with the Android phone.
- Connect the iPhone to the PC via USB
- Open iTunes on the computer
- Click the iPhone and go to Info
- Enable Sync Contacts with
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu and log in with an existing account
- Click Apply to begin the sync
- Once the sync is complete, switch to the Android device and log in with the same account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android phone
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud:
NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with you account on a computer connected to the Internet, and export the contacts in a vCard file.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
- Log in with your iCloud account
- Access Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share and click Settings > Export vCard
- After the vCard has been downloaded, follow one of the steps below:
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to your phonebook via Google Contacts, or:
- Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import its contents to your phonebook using Contacts
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the two methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the app and tap Backup to create a vCard containing your iPhone contacts
- Then tap Email and ensure the vCard is attached
- Send the attachment to your own address
- On the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard to the phonebook using Contacts
Via Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on iOS and Android. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other types of files, cross-platform, without computer access.
- Install Send Anywhere on the iPhone via the App Store
- Install the same app on the Android device from the Play Store
- Launch the app on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and tap Send
- Lastly, choose a transfer method on one device and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
