    Hello,

We're considering switching from Cingular to Sprint because my dh gets no reception at work through Cingular. We're hoping that Sprint, being a different type of network, will solve this problem for us. In general, is Sprint a good company to deal with?

i am on a family talk plan with my parents with sprint. my mom has been with sprint for like 8+ years i think, she likes them okay. they aren't the best, i personally think cingular has a better network. i would check the coverage area on their website before you sign a contract though

I think sprint is the worst cell phone company ever. As soon as my contract is up I'm outta there. Every problem imaginable I've had. Stay clear if you don't want problems. Their tech support are the least knowledgable, most unfriendly I have ever dealt with.

    Re: Happy with Sprint?

^^^ It's all a matter of opinion. Sure, I've had bad experiences with Sprint, as many people have with other providers. I've not had the many misfortunes that soonerdude has encountered. There have been times I had to call more than once to get someone who seemed to really know what they're talking about, but a little patience and perseverence on my part has contributed to every problem I've ever had either being solved satisfactorily, or credits being applied to my account to make up for the extreme hassle/confusion.

I find it's better to go to a Sprint Store for the bigger issues, where they can't talk you out the door as they try to do sometimes on the phone. Yes, I concede there have been a few instances I felt Sprint was just telling me what I wanted to hear to get me off the phone, but I'm sure other providers are like that, too.

Overall, I love Sprint. I enjoy the excellent coverage they have around the city, and I also appreciate the solid roaming coverage they give me in rural parts of Georgia, where I sometimes go to visit family. Their family share plans which include mobile-to-mobile save me a ton of minutes because I can also talk to Nextel & Boost users for free, not just Sprint. Nights & Weekends starting at 7pm is also a good deal, but I think it's totally worth the extra $10 to start those unlimited minutes at 6pm instead. I like Sprint, even though some people can tell you horror stories, they've been good to me.

Could you give us a little more explanation? Are you going over your minutes, or are you talking about "mysterious charges" or what? Being "overcharged" means different things to different people.

    Re: Happy with Sprint?

haha Brad, I find it rather humerous that I hate the company so bad for the way things have gone for me that I want Sprint erased from existance and you love sprint. I wish companies could find some middle ground. They have done nothing to satisfy or try and help me and you love them and they are good to you. Go figure. Its like we belong to two different cell pohne companies.

    Re: Happy with Sprint?

    Hi all..
I'm new, as of today, as a matter of fact..but I'm not too pleased with Sprint...their Tech reps can barely speak english...rather frustrating!! Can someone tell me...I cancelled the "unlimited text msg" part of the bill they kept hitting me with..well dear son decided (unknowingly) that he and a new young lady would text one another..well I can see my phone accounts for 135 going out and 138 coming in...yet Sprint is charging me for 417!!! Where am I going wrong with this, outside of chopping sons arm off for using text msging like he did,lol..jk...can anyone help me on this one? Thanks much!

    Re: Happy with Sprint?

I have been a Sprint user for like, 9 years now. I like their service better than any others - I can hear better on Sprint then say Cingular or Verizon especially when you only got a couple bars. Cingular and Verizon still sound analog-y to me when the reception is hazy. Sprint's network is different and you might get a slight dip in what the person is saying, but it's understandable and totally ok to deal with by me.

    Re: Happy with Sprint?

I have actualy been with sprint for about 4 yrs. They are my pnly cell phone company ive ever been with. I have a lot lower prices then other people i know who have sprint because they dont offer the prices I have anymore. I dont drop calls or anything anymore, there was a time i had that problem but havent had it in a while. And overall they are pretty helpful to me over the phone. Maybe i just dont know any better but i think their alright
