It's sad. I see so many cool phones on-line, get all excited and jumpy, then head out to the store just to look around and all I see is JUNK. Nothing there impresses me. Half the phones aren't working or are dummy units that do nothing. None look like something I want to own. Not impressed by the A900. I'm in Boston and as I walked to a few stores (Radio Shack, Sprint) it was just sad. I really don't think Sprint has a leg to stand on. It seems like Verizon and Cingular are getting a big stranglehold on the market with the cool phones and services they offer. I have a feeling Sprint's services aren't going to stand up over time...
Well whatever. The stores are sad to walk through. Just give me the katana already!!!

Yeah, someone I know in East Boston said the nearest Sprint Store there is so run down and "ghetto" I'm sorry to say it's nothing like that here in Florida. All the floor models work, you can play with them or make calls to try them out, all the employees are well-groomed and in uniforms. From what I heard about the Sprint Store near E. Boston, it's the difference of night and day!

Yea, here in Florida the Sprint stores are really nice. They are definitely better than the other service providers stores.

I agree....it always makes me mad when they advertise such a low price on their phones and then when u go to buy one they tell u u have to renew your contract or start a new plan to get the rebates.

That's the same for any carrier, not just Sprint, and it's how they make up the cost of giving you a deeply discounted phone. By renewing your contract, they are guaranteed to keep you as a customer for 2 more years or should you decide to terminate your contract the cost of the "rebates" would be made up in the early termination fees. Was there a reason you don't like Sprint Stores besides that? None of the other carriers give away no-strings rebates either.

    Re: Sprint stores are depressing.

I am in Sherman, TX, and the guys in the Sprint store seem more like high school kids. I was looking for a wireless internet card. I went to the Verizon store and the manager talked to be and seemed very sharp. He even told me to bring in my laptop and he would put the card in and get it working for me. I still haven't made up my mind. Not crazy about Sprint's 2 year contract.
