Upon the advice of a friend I thought I would give straight talk (st) a try. I bought a phone for 99 dollars and a an unlimited prepaid card for 45 dollars. I got unlimited texting, talking and browsing the 411 calls are also free, no roaming and no extra fees. I have had the service 8 months and have not had one problem. The phone works just as well as verizon, but it should it works off verizon towers.
I did hate to give up my blackberry and pay the early termination fee, I now have the samsung R451C phone. It works very well ST is also supposed to add new phones they already have a new samsung touch screen phone.
I live in a rural area and verizon was the only cell phone that would pick up at my house so I was stuck with them untill now. After 10 years of paying the high prices verizon charges and fighting with them about unexplained charges on my bill it is a relief to be done with them.
The savings over verizon is about 100.00 per month for the same plan.
blackberry=30.00 unlimited browsing + 20.00 unlimited texting and 99.00 unlimited ta

Re: Straight Talk prepaid
Straight Talk owner overhere. I've had the Samsumg R355c for 3 months and no problems. Sometimes we blame it on the company but is actually putting 2 + 2 together. When they make cellphones, phones, anything, they make a enormous amount of them, and then people with experience assemble them, sometimes, something goes wrong. I've been lucky and also saved lots of money along the way. With a $30 a month plan (unbelievable) w/ 1000 min. talk/text/30mb data/free 411 you can't ask for more. Switching to ST is the best thing I did and also they transferred my old cell number to ST. Go to Wal-mart and check for yourself.

Re: Straight Talk prepaid
Pre-paid with Straight Talk and again to tell you about my amazing Samsung R355c and I have no problems so far. The most important part are the savings. No contract, and no hidden charges. Visit any Walmart like I did just to shop and ask for the Straight Talk cellphone. I left with my savings in hand. Just give it a try.
