Well, ok.
I wanted to know if there's any movie/media player for Symbian (9.1 with UIQ 3, or in other words one that compatible with the Sony Ericsson W960i... or will be) that supports AVI files?

I would suggest smart movie 4.0 or better. It is not free, but you can always find some illegal free version of it. And if you buy it it is worth the money.

Re: Symbian movie/media player?
dont use lonely cats smart movie player, it sucks. use core codec player. best symbian/UIQ video player out there. supports most formats. And has a good framerate.
