Hey, not sure if this is being posted in the proper forum, but does anyone have the code you need to restore your factory settings on a T-Mob network phone? My phone manufacturer is LG, but the same thing where I'm unable to recieve, send or view messages, pictures or any recorded sound clips has happened a few times and my local T-Mobile shop have always given me the same *# type code and it totally wipes out the phone.

Since it's nearly 9pm though, I can't call the shop. I tried calling the 150 helpline but the person I spoke to didn't know the code. I'm positive there is a code though, surely one of you must know it? Please, it's a real emergency.

    Thanks!

T-Mobile does not carry LG phones. You're most likely using an "unlocked phone." An unlocked phone is one that is open to accept SIM cards from any GSM wireless provider company.

You can call 800-937-8997 and give them your phone model. There's a small chance that T-Mobile may be able to send you the settings for text, picture, and video messaging. You have to understand though that customer care cannot help you with questions about your LG phone (since it is not offered by T-Mobile), but can help you with anything else related to your account.

Hmmm...this is my phone in this link here:

    http://gsm-trubki.ru/img/lg2200.jpg

Obviously it's LG, and it says T-Mobile just below the screen. I bought the phone from a T-Mobile shop, and they gave me a T-Mobile sim card. I don't know what you mean by T-Mobile not carrying LG phones.

Bascically, all I'm looking for is the way to restore my factory settings. I already tied restoring the settings, but it didn't help the problem, all it did was change my background etc back to the original.

I know for sure that there's a code somewhere to do this, as it's happened before, I just didn't write down the code (stupidly) the last time, and now I can't seem to get help anywhere.

If you know of a code that T-Mobile uses for that kinda thing, could ya let me know? I'm positive it is their code that I used.

    Cheers!

I see the picture, it sure does say T-Mobile on it. However, it couldn't have been bought from a direct T-Mobile USA shop.

From an indirect shop, now that I don't doubt.

    T-Mobile Direct Shop = stores following T-Mobile USA's guidelines, owned by T-Mobile
Indirect Shop = can sell whatever they want, follow there own rules, owned privately

Well, I don't live in the USA, I live in Scotland, and I got it here. I dunno if that makes any difference? I thought all the T-Mobile shops in the UK were the same company?

Anyway, I'm going shopping tomorrow for a new phone...any recommendations, guys?

    Lauren,

That certainly clears up the confusion. T-Mobile does not have any LG phones in the US. You guys are way ahead of us as far as the latest products, especially when it comes to cell phones.
