Calls not from my phone

Yesterday I had someone ask if I was bum calling them from my phone number at 5:00 in the morning. Of course I was not and my phone has no record of calling them. Also had an insident where someone I didn't know called and asked "why are your calling me - who is this" again no record of any calls on my phone to this number. Is there something going on with my phone? I have a Telus phone.

Did you recently get a new phone number? It's possible that old owner of the line was never deactivated correctly. Either that or someone cloned your phone/sim.

No I have had the phone for a couple of years and it was new when I got it. It just seems really weird.
