They're not free texts, you have to top up a certain amount each month.
They're subsidised, but they're not free.

You get up to 300 free texts the first month irrespective of your
spend. Its only the second month you have to top up to get free texts.

That's splitting hairs. As a general rule, you still have to top up to get
them. Therefore they are not free.

I am afraid that the OP is correct in what he/she/it posted and
"general rules" don't really enter it.
The SIMs are free and you get 300 texts for free.
Where does it say that you must use the SIM again after the first
month is over?

OK you get 300 free texts messages.
BTW, do these free text's roll over? This question applies to the O2 ones
too.

Again, splitting hairs. The impression given is that you get free texts on
an ongoing basis. You don't.

I've never known any text bundle to roll over. It's possible of course,
but somehow I doubt it.

That was the impression that you may have received. I followed the
links, read the information and received a different impression.
Incidentally, the impression I received from your message that these
were NOT free texts was that there were no free texts at all.
So, at the risk of a further accusation of "hair-splitting", I'd
suggest that your own follow-up lacked precision.... perhaps that is
why you are being so combative now but I think the honest thing to do
would be to admit to your mistake.

I haven't made one.
