I have some questions about the new t-mobile services in the UK.

I am thinking about getting a 3G phone with FlexT plan and the
    Unlimited Web n Walk service.

First question - can I assume that the 3G speeds apply to the unlimited
    Web n Walk?

Also - I would be interested in connecting my mobile to my laptop and
using the the Unlimited 3G to go online via the mobile (instead of
broadband at home)...First - would that even work? Second, T-mobile
have a Fair Usage policy which cays that you should not connect your
mobile to your computer to use as a 'modem', do they actually monitor
    this??

It's hard to prove but if you're account shows you've accessed Windows
update or something it might be a bit obvious.

Yes, if you have a 3G phone.

    Yes it works.

No idea what T-Mobile actually do - although I would expect they could
not monitor this if your restrict yourself to just checking email and
browsing websites. The only difference with doing this on a latop is
the number of pages you request - you're likely to do it quicker on a
    laptop.

If you start doing things like ftp, P2P sharing, VoIP, Windows update -
basically services which are unlikely to be present on a phone, or more
important, explicitly banned - then you might draw attention to yourself
if they check port usage etc.
