Perhaps you should learn English prior to doing a dissertation.
Alternatively, you could always use a *****checker on your survey if your
*****ing is not up to scratch.

Yes, interesting that a basic understanding of English, *****ing and grammar
are not a prerequisite for a Masters Degree?

I interviewed a university graduate recently for a job and the
handwritten CV that was given to me was that badly written that I could
not read most of it. There were frequently capital letters and lower
case letters mixed in the same word. Shocking.

"are not prerequisites"? Plural of prerequisite is surely prerequisites?

    "... a basic understanding .... is not a prerequisite ..."

"A basic understanding" is a singular noun. The list "of English,
*****ing and grammar" qualifies it, but does not alter the fact that it
is singular. A bucket "of water, oil and mud" is still just one bucket.

How far off topic can we go? :-))

If price was the only issue then wouldn't "3" be the market leaders?

For a short time maybe, but lots of people who went to 3 because they
    were cheapest are now leaving.

However, the primary motivation for people to switch networks has to be
    price, surely?

Dissatisfaction of service? Which covers a multitude of sins.

I would say coverage, in the areas where you want to use a mobile, is of
    more importance than price.

What use is a cheap product if you cannot use it? If coverage is available
by more than one network then price comes into the equation.

But would the applicant have actually been able to do the job..?

I have never understood why, for example, people insist on men (not women,
sex discrimination at its worst IMHO) wearing ties for some jobs, and
particularly at interviews. Personally I *hate* ties, they do nothing for
appearance and make me feel physically uncomfortable. For me to do my job
efficiently I need to be comfortable, which I am not while wearing a tie.
(Fortunately, I don't have to wear one in my present job..!)

What I'm trying to get across in a somewhat long-winded way, is that the
ability to actually *do* the job is more important (to me, anyway) than
physical appearance, particularly in jobs where you're not dealing
    directly with the public.

Did he get the job, BTW..? If not, what was the reason..?

    Ivor
