Hi
Just about to change to Tmobile and N95 - but I'd like my current Voda
N73 unlocked as a backup. What's the easiest way to have it unlocked - will
Voda do it? My contract ends on Monday and I'm hoping to PAC out. Would they
give me an unlock code at the same time? (I know I'd have to pay,
obviously).

I think you will only be able to get it from Vodafone, I stand to be
corrected but I think N73 and other similar phones can only be unlocked by
the networks. I doubt once your contract is over you will not be able to get
them to unlock it.

Vodafone will unlock for free after you've had the phone 12
months.

But I think you still have to be taking their service, once disconnected I
am not sure they will do it.
