Virgin Mobile is getting ready to launch their first Android handset via Target; the Samsung Intercept. Virgin Mobile has not made the announcement of when they will launch the device but we expect it to be soon since Target stores have begun carrying the Intercept. Target has the Samsung Intercept priced at $249.99, which could be a pre-paid plan considering the price.

Features of the Samsung Intercept include: Android 2.1, 3.2-inch 240×400 capacitive touchscreen, 3.2MP camera with video capture, 1500 mAh battery, microSD card slot, 3.5 mm headset jack and a side-sliding QWERTY keyboard.

Virgin Mobile may carry this handset on pre-paid plans.
