Is there an easier way to view account info

OK, so I e-mail Virgin to see if there is an easy way to monitor cell usage. They tell me I should use the "$" short-cut on the desktop. Well using that route is a real pain in the behind. I have to wait for the page to load, then enter credentials and then wait for another page to load. With t-mobile I just dialed a weird phone number like #225# and I could instantly see the information returned to me on the screen.

Is there an easy way to see this info with VMobile without using the web browser on the phone or logging in from a PC.
