Cant delete voicemail....help...

my phone is about 3 wks new & still has the original voicemail..it only has an option to "end the call" not to delete. i went to the virgin kiosk & they said b/c its a NEW sim card it will go away on its own.
I have a moto G5

does this sound right?

wow...this place is DEAD....
