vx6000 will not hold picture setting

Ok I am getting in deep here just got a usb cable today and i am using bitpim no real problems uploading stuff I also removed my verizon banner. i just tried the speakerphone thing thats cool but i hope its not permanent My question is this i put about 40 pictures on my phone but when i set one as wallpaper basically i choose it then hit save it says screen is changed to scarface1 then it shows the scarface picture then i hit end and it doesnt stick its whatever the old picture was at first it was the crappy sun picture (default pics) but at least now i have titys the wierd thing is if i go back to see what it says is set for my wallpaper it says scarface even though its not anyone have a clue about this as you all caan tell i am new to the scene but doin pretty good so far Thanks in advance for any help

I haven't attempted to remove the verizon banner yet. Maybe this is what is causing the problem since the banner is 'supposed' to be there.

Actually its not i know because i restored it with a backuperi.bin ( the original one) and its still the same i cant believe no one has heard of this or something similiar .

In a nutshell I pick a wallpaper either way throught "settings #9" or "My Media #7" select set to wallpaper it says screen is set i exit out and its sometimes extremely rare will change to the right on ebut normally doesnt change or it may change to one of the queer ones like the guy surfing or the bear holding the heart.
