Okay, i've got a VX4400 and it gets terrible reception in my house and never seems to have more than 3 bars anywhere else, even outside. I've seen those sticker things that you put on the battery or something like that, but does that work and is there anything else that i can do to improve reception, especially reception inside my house?

I have the vx6000 and have poor reception too. Problem with these phones, according to a tech at verizon, is that they are only effective with a range of <10 miles to a tower. I went to the following site and bought an antenna to replace stubby antenna on phone. http://www.accessorygeeks.com/lgvxac1.html I don't know if the antenna will work on your phone, but they should be the same size. I bought the $9.99 antenna. It boosts signal by about 1 bar, which for me goes from 2 to 3. This is enough to hold the signal and not cause any dropped calls. It's not a miracle fix, just a slight improvement, which is all you might need for a good digital connection. I haven't tried the sticky thing you put on battery, but did tape a piece of aluminum foil to the back of battery. It's the same principal but doesn't cost a thing.

hmm good idea. I never thought of using aluminum foil. Thanks I'll try it out, and maybe get an antenna too.

I see where there is a difference between the anternnas of the vx4400 and vx6000. Do a yahoo search for "antennas for LG VX4400" and there should be plenty of sites to go to.

There's no point in antennas that flash because I haven't seen any that improve reception at all. I tried taping some aluminum foil to the battery and that helps a little. It usually keeps me at around 2 bars (Not enough!!!)

But is there anything exactly that can boost signal inside my house? I've heard of putting a coffee can around the part of the roof antenna that comes inside if u have an antenna, but i don't. Is there anything that could resonate or magnify the signal inside my house?
