    Confused about steps

So, I might just be having a brain hickup, but I just can't seem to get the intructions to work. I am not sure about the futuredial drivers. Do I have to buy the futuredriver software to get the drivers and why do I need them. I can't seem to get the Qualcomm program to see my phone when it is plugged in. I am using the Verizon MobileOffice cable, do I need a different cable? Also, on a random side note, when I rip and MP3 to send to my phone, it does not seem to be able to play it. Not sure why as it seems to be the correct size, but not sure about why it does not take.

For uploading pics to the phone: What is the purpose of the image.dat file? Should I save a copy of it? Does it regenerate itself?

image.dat is a file that regenerates itsself on a phone reboot. all it does is kinda adds the new pics into the phone so they are viewable. no need to worry when deleting it
