VX6000 This is getting annoying

I've been having problems with my phone recently and its been getting really annoying. My Problem is with the signal and calls being constantly dropped.

What bugs me is that my cousin(with the same phone vx6000) (and even my parents with their old samsung) all have good reception. Seems like my phone is the only one that doesn't work half the time.

Can someone enlighten me?

ps. I've called verizion and talked to them and they told me to download a software update. It made a small difference but i still get dropped calls. Now why would I have to download something to get decent service when my parents old phone never had to downloaded anything but they still get good service??

the vx6000 isnt tri-mode its only digital so if you get into a bad spot with a bad connection to the satallites then you might experience dropped calls

However this doesn't explain why my cousins phone which is the same model will work while mine won't

does your cousin live near you?

Well he used to live near me now hes in the navy. He comes to visit sometimes and his phone always works great. I was even able to use his in my basement while i could never use mine there.

I don't think location is the issue . I belive its the phone itself.

since my parents hae same service just diff phones. Should i buy a new phone or is there some kind of warranty or fix I could utilize?
