Anyone know how to keep the keypad lights on past 7 seconds?

Thanks PepsiCola: I had pretty much tried everything including taking the phone back to Verizon. All the 7000's cut the keyboard light in about 7 seconds. This is annoying if you're trying, for instance, to retrieve voice mail in your car at night. When you need to press a certain key you can't see it! As far as the diesel guy's response, its a perfect example of someone with nothing to say but still can't keep his mouth shut. Thanks for your help.
