Hi all,
I tried the bitpim software out (latest and greatest). works nice for transferring midi files to the fone. However I had an exception occur because I did not shortin the file name B4 hand. Now I am unable to remove the corupted file from the phone. I TRIED THE DELEAT FROM THE MENU. Not new to this simple file manipulation, just missed shortining the file name. Any Ideas on how to remove this dead file from my phone. I even tried to shortin the name of the file on the Phone but it acts like it is not there at all. when I hit OK it just stays there.
Thanks for any help on this problem.

Had the same problem with my LG VX6100. Here is what I did to solve it. First, and very very very important. BACK UP all your files on your phone using bitpim. Second, In bitpim filesystem go to do download\dloadindex and delete the following files.
1. brewRingerIndex.map
2. mmsDrmRingerIndex.map
3. mmsRingerIndex.map
Then shut down bitpim and restart your phone. All the non-referenced mid files will be deleted from text. You should be good to go after that. Good luck

To Mralias and Pfonehacker, can either of you tell me how to get to download within bitpim? I don't see how to do that and I have to correct the same problem Pfonehacker had. PLEASE HELP ME!!
