Ring tones and pics wont delete

alright so i bought a link cable yesterday it works great an all but now i am having trouble deleting some of my pics and a ring tone off my fone. i delete them and it gets rid of the actaul data, such as there is no pic but the name still stays in the directory. how do i fix this?

could you specify which program you're using

its not a program, i cant delete them frm the phone.

what program are you using to put the pictures onto the phone?

when this happens to me i just resend all of the pics or ringtones and instead of hitting add i hit replace.

If the file name is too long when you sent it and it wont delete, you'll probably have to delete the brew file

how do i delete the brew file, im new to all this.

well depending on your phone, it may be a little diffferent.
for me, i go to the "filesystem" tab, click on the "+", the go to "download", then "dloadindex". there are two brew files: brewimageindex.map and brewringersindex.map . The brewimageindex.map is for your pictures and brewringerindex.map is for your ringers.

to fix the problem 1:backup your brewfile and file associated with the catagory 2:delete the brew file then turn off your phone then turn it on.

this will most likly fix the problem but make sure you back up your files before doing this.

This is what I would suggest. Try not to mess with the filesystem... too much room to mess up your phone's software.
