(1)does the mp3 player work without the memory card?
(2)does the same cable that ive used on my vx6000 and vx7000 work with the 8100?
(3)it seems to have a lower rating on phonescoop than the 7000, is thisbecause of the crippled bluetooth? (this is not a feature i would really use so cripped dont bother me)
(4)ive heard the picture quality is worse than the 8000, how much worse is it?
(5)has anybody found a way to save videos and pictures to the memory card to store more pictures at once?

this is all i can think up right now but i need to decide everything soon on what im gonna do, after somebody answers im sure i will come up with something else to ask

what do you mean by 512ram than not?

as for speaker phone quality.. is it clear at lower volumes?.. or is it same as all the other phones?.. i would think it to be better than the 8000 cuz of the speaker quality

As is goes there is only 2 mb to store music.
They said 512 but a closer lookand i think thats BS.
I never had a speaker phone on a cell before so I can't compare.
I just know if you turn up the volume it gets distorted.
    Hope that helps some.

    VX 8100 questions

    (1) No, it should, but it has been disabled by Verizon as has the pic button on the right side of the phone. I'm sure that a work aound or hack will be available soon since this phone seems to be popular, even b 4 its release
(2)Yes, but software updates R not avail for BITPIM as far as I know (if so some1 please let me know) there are some workarounds that I have found
(3)Pic quality if minimally lesser at the same settings, but there are some small differences in the menu (NO ISO setting in the 8100, or lens flip switch on the outside of phone). The quality can be improved by modifying the settings though. (this I promise because I still have my VX 8000 & have worked w/ them side by side to compare)
    (4) I have not yet because I have not tried, I'll let you know when I do.

One ending comment for everyone, This phone was just released July 15th & as w/ any new phone, pc, or equipment there are sometimes going to be issues which usually are fixed as the isssues present themselves. This is sometime referred to as a soft realease but companies. They don't throw any BIG avertising bucks out there during this time for that reason.
Additionally the issues that everyone finds there will be updates available out there, either by the manufacturer(LG), or the supporting subsidiary(Verizon), or in an additional option "a hack" will become available.

I find this phone very exceptional despite some of the frustrating inabilities or disabled features, which I am sure in time will be resolved, as I have already noticed some resolutions available to some of the problems everyone has been belly aching over. Everyone sould just be a little more patient.
