hi, i recently got an lg 2000 and i was wondering if it is compatible with bitpim. i checked the chart on the site, but it wasn't listed, and i didn't want to risk messing up my phone.
    can anyone help me please?

nono, i didn't get the cable yet. i just wanted to know if bitpim would be compatible with the 2000 so that when i got the cable, i could use it.
as far as i know, the cable isn't available yet, but i heard that you could use some substitutes from other phones, though i'm not sure whether they actually work or not.

Thats because of two things; one is the amount of memory the phone has, and two is the size of the clips. It does suck, and if you were looking to put a lot of ringtones on your phone, you should have checked into the amount of internal memory the phone had before purchasing it.

Yep I definitly should have looked first, but oh well I'll just have to cut my tones shorter I guess. I still think its a more than decent phone.

As long as your happy with the phone, and can live with it, that's the main thing.

Yea I've always thought they weren't worth the price tag but if you need it for your tones then you gotta sacrifice i guess

Guys .. if u are able to connect the phone to bitpim. the ringers are in a folder called as "meldl" and titled as melody01.dat melody02.dat etc...
U could send over one of them to me .. .so that I could try to disasm it and send u a convertor to convert Midi to the Dat.

We already have a discussion about the same on Http://www.rimweb.com check the tech/programming section ... we have a section exclusively for Ringtone research
    Cheers
