I have the newest version of Bitpim, and a USB cable with VX8100. I was able to make a ringtone using Audacity, got it into Bitpim, actually got it on my phone okay. Then I tried to put it on my wife's phone, and it wouldn't recognize her phone. Then it wouldnt' recognize my phone anymore...frustrating!
What could the problem be?
Do I need to update the driver? If so, from where? Is there something I need to modify in Bitpim?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have the exact same problem with my LG535.......I was told that I need the driver for the cable....and same as you, I can't find it.....
So, a help to us both would be nice....
If I find it, I will let you know the site, maybe you can find a driver for your phone as well....

Re: Bitpim not recognizing phone via USB cable?
Thanks. I did it and downloaded the driver for my phone and it now recognizes it. The disk that I got with my data cable was for a C 1500 and did not give me the right drivers. Now, with Bitpim I can see my phone and address book, but that's about all. I cannot get my photos off of my phone. Is there any other software or program besides Bitpim that would let me do this?
