good luck with that.. by the way phone does not have to have something spilled on it or droped in something to get wet.. taking your phone to the bath room and taking a hot shower can cause water to get into phone by stem.... ... best regards

The sure way to unlock your LG phone is with LGNPST LAB version.. using #228 or any combo of #228 only works if your not locked out of your phone but if you are well then #228 will not work..

Files needed:
LGNPST LAB 1.1 or higher
the DLL file for your phone. exp.. vx9700 AKA the Dare has a vx9700.DLL / installer for LGNPST.

load up LGNPST
connect your phone to the computer
their is a tab that says phone settings click on this..
a box will come up and down at the bottom their is a button that say's read ( Click this )
all info will come up this includes you lock codes and if you click write then it will rest the code to the last 4 of your phone number unless you manually change the codes in correct fields then the code will be what ever you changed it to..

It's really that simple. but now if you can dial #228 or what ever then this is the fastest way to get into the phone but most of the times if the phone is locked this means that you locked your self out of the phone not just the restricted menu area.
