This is a wierd problem. Bought an miniSD card and put it in my built in sd slot (with the adapter of course) in my laptop (toshiba satallite 2450, pentium 4 CPU 2.4, win xp pro) . I can 'see' the 'removable disk e:' but when i try to 'right click' 'format' nothing happens. if i double click on the e: drive then it say 'the disk in drive e: is not formatted. Do you want to format it now?' i click yes and then i get the message "the disk in drive e: cannot be formatted" weird
anyway so i throw a normal sd card in there from my camera and it reads it just fine so the sd reader or whatever seems to be working fine.
so i guess i'm just wondering if ya'll know how i could go about formatting this pos. anyway THANX in advance for your help
ps. if this was posted elsewhere i DID look HARD but couldn't find anything
oh and this is for my LG 535 so i can crank some tune-age

Re: Formatting miniSD
You need to format the card in your phone first.
Depending on the phone type, after you have the card installed, just turn the phone off and back on for LG's....for Moto's, you are going to have to go in and actually tell the phone to format the card.
Once that's done, put it into your card reader and the computer should then see it as formatted and your all set.

Re: Formatting miniSD
i kinda had to laugh at that kuz the answer to too many computer problems is 'turn it off - turn it on'. anyway, put the minisd in and turned off turned on and my phone didn't really seem to do anything. took the minisd out and put in my comp. still couldn't open the card normally. then tried to 'open as portable media device' and it shows 0bytes. tried to sync using windows media player 10 but it sayed 'wmp no longer detects a connectable portable device'. nothing i seem to do is helping. i'm gonna go make a useless call to telus but anyhelp i could get from ya'll would be great.
