With a data cable and software, you can upload ringtones from your computer to phone (depending on the model of your phone). I have mp3's uploaded as ringtones but midi's can be used also.

There is a free program you can download called Bitpim, That you can convert your MP3's into ringtones. As long as you have a USB cable you can transfer it onto your phone. Its a really sweet program! Google it!

You can add anything you want. It does not make the file size smaller. Ringtones should only be 10 - 15 seconds long. after that it goes to voice mail. It is not for putting an entire song on your phone.
