    hello,

i jsut upgraded from the 8100 phone yesturday, this did mean that i needed to get a new memory card since now the 8300 uses a micro compared to a mini

im having trouble putting things onto my memory card, everytime i try to copy a file onto the card it tells me that there is write protection and that i cant take it off, i tried reformatting the card through my phone and i even tried holding down the play button like it says to in the manual..

i reallly need some help on solving this problem i realize this is probably a simple correction but thats also what i hope it is....

    -Thanks

Try sliding the switch on the side of the card.

It doesn't make sense. If the problem was the actual card, you wouldn't have been able to format the card in the phone. Try the side button on the card adapter once again. It should be positioned closest to the top where the metal connectors are.

    Good luck!

It May Depend On What You Are Trying To Put On The Card I Had The Same Problem When I Tried To Move Certain Songs To My Card.

    Re: VX8300 mem. card question

I had the same problem . It seemed to work fine when I only put like 3 to 5 songs/files at a time instead of my entire music list . Once you do get your music on your card you have to go into your GET IT NOW menu and press 1 and then 8 . That opens your mp3 player . If your mp3 player isnt enabled Go to menu press 0 then fill all blanks with 0's . Press Up one time (or setting 11)
and select music setting ,then enable mp3s . Make sure you put your music in your Mp3 folder not my music or sounds .
    Good luck !
