I went to my secret service code and then down to No. 11 - music settings.
When I click OK, I get the message, "NOT AVAILABLE"
Ok, anybody got a clue on what I do now??? Or will this play mp3's the way it is? A Verizonwireless employee told me this evening this is new software and no way will I be able to bust it.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Re: new software on 8300 preventing mp3 enabled
Ok, MobilePrincess...I've bridged that difficulty. Just put the mp3 via card reader into my songs file and they play. However, I have another problem. Trying to convert mp3 into a ringer tone using bitpim...i get an error saying access to the file directory has been blocked on this phone by the provider. This is a real tough one and I don't know how to get around this problem. Any hints to turning my 30 second mp3's into ringer tones would be greatly appreciated. Even the help file in bitpim says too bad, so sad......

Re: new software on 8300 preventing mp3 enabled
here is what i just did for My 8300 to get ringtones to my phone.
1) got song.mp3 i wanted for my ringtone
2) used Ringtone Ripper (Make your own ringtones with ringtone ripper beta) to cut it to 20 second mp3 ( you can pick any 20 seconds of the song, just gotta tell it where to start from)
c) renamed the new shorter song.mp3 to song.mid
4) e-mailed the song.mid to [email protected]
5) when i recieved the file, under OPTIONS i had 'Save As Ringtone'
VOILA i got the ringtone i wanted.
Be aware that emailing the files to your phone may cost you $$ per message depending on your plan.
