vx 5200 screen issues

My 5200's inner and outer screens are blank/blue the outer sometimes gives hope of coming back then nothing. it was in a hotel pool back in october/november for a minute or two. but no problems since then. I dried it out 2 days and it worked fine. Now its doing this. My moisture indicator is pink so warranty is out, and i have no ins....any ideas of what to do? Can you take the moisture ind. off of another phone? If that were the case that's an option for I have other phones. I need to get this one fixed.(kinda poor) at the moment.

I did swap the indicators today, my new phone is being fed-ex'd to my house, lol

you do know they check the phones when they get them returned to them?

If they find it has been water damaged, and the stickers where replaced, they will charge your account the full price of a new phone.

That would be unfortunate.

Full retail on the 5200 is about $150.00 right now. You would have been better off paying the $50.00 FRU fee and calling it a day.
