I was considering getting a set of accessories for my wife's 8700. I can't link to it due to my low post count, but if you go to ebay and search for "PREMIUM CELLET ACCESSORIES LOT for LG VX-8700 VX8700", you'll see several of the same auction. It includes a Cellet Rapid Car Charger.
I had heard somewhere once that rapid chargers were bad for rechargable AA batteries, but I didn't know if the same was true for cell phone batteries.
Would this set be decent for her phone or would it eat up the battery?
If this isn't good, what is recommended, that's not too expensive? We'd really just the car and wall charger.

Car chargers should only be used for 10 to 15 minutes at a time. More than that and you run the risk of damaging the cells.
