I use my cell phone almost exclusively for any communications. Since I live with my mother, I have people call me on my cell phone, instead of the home phone.
My fiance is very particular about the radiation coming from the phone so, I got an over-the-head earpiece w/ microphone. It is similar in design to what reservations agents use in the hospitality and, travel industries.
Since I have the LG VX3450, is there a site I can go to, that will have any info on how much radiation this particular phone emits?

Re: Radiation from phone
You should be able to find that information in your manual. But, if you can't find the manual, the cnet reviews typically include the SAR level for that device (which, in this case of the LG VX3450, is 0.937 watts/kg).

Re: Radiation from phone
ok... How do I explain this?? If a phone has an extremely low output, there is the problem of being able to communicate with the closest cell phone tower and you would be getting a lot of disconnects because you have to have good comms between the phone and the towers.
As far as the amount of radiation, this is RF that we are talking about, we are surrounded by RF radiation constantly all day, every day. Radio signals, TV signals, other peoples cell phones, walkie-talkies, your cordless phone at home. Essentially every communication method today that you can think of generates RF. The amount that a cell phone produces, even right next to your head is so miniscule in comparison to the amount of RF that passes around and though you every day, all day long. Its not something that you should be very concerned with. If you are very affraid of RF, well, I don't know what you would do to get away from it because it is everywhere.
PS... the foil hat trick might be an alternative...

Re: Radiation from phone
I think about this in the back of my head sometimes too.
What I try to do is just not have the phone on my body, when not in use. Example, if working at desk I take it out of pocket and put it at the top of my desk.
if I'm lying on the couch, I put it down on the floor next to me, etc. etc.
How many hours do you talk on yours? Your headset will help certainly, so I think you're taking the right steps. After all, it probably isn't something to worry with too much anyway.
Like the other poster said, wifi, cordless phones, etc. etc. are all around us.
Don't forget to step back from the microwave, when it is on too, especially if a woman and pregnant.
Also, BTW, that SAR isn't that bad. They are often over 1.

i don't understand why you guys are saying you hope this is a joke. different people have different concerns and if you don't want to talk about it why do you take time to post a comment? Radiation may be unimportant to you. so just ignore the post!
