Just a few questions. i just recently got this phone through alltel. well I know there is a site, that alows you to send ringtones and wallpapers to your cells through text message, but it wont work with this phone, and i can bluetooth wallpapers to the phone no problem, but cant with ringtones, it shows up but they cant be set as ringtones... Is there any other way to do this without downloading them via the web or getting a data cable?

I have that same problem, brother. I have just recently received my new LG Scoop phone through Alltel.

Trying to make a long story as short as possible, I e-mailed customer support and just asked why can't I make my own ring tones.

Well, they basically said that I could not do that, and it seems that you can only get it by buying them. What a bummer!

    NOT COOL!!

That is my only complaint that I have.

That's why I'm here on this forum. Find a solution. Just joined an hour or so ago. So I have to do some reading here.

I asked about the data cable and it seems that the cable is only for doing a dial up connection for your computer. Another bummer. If I am wrong I apologize for that, but that is what I got back from my tickets I posted to customer support @ Alltel.

Hey check this out... well i cant post links yet.. but if you go to the thread that says add ringtones and wallpapers to scoop, its by me. that will explain everything.

I posted this the other day and this is how i've been adding stuff to my scoop.. My own ringtones, ones you download, whatever.. Its not the fastest way to transfer them, but it works... You do have to have the usb cable, and you use that to xfer music to your phone mainly but you can also see whats on it.. just follow the steps and let me know if you have any questions.
